Good Shepherd Celebrates 90 years of Ministry!

In September of 2010, Good Shepherd will host a 90th celebration worship service and reception for its current and former members, family, friends, partners in ministry and in the community, as well as neighbors.

Plans are in the making for that event.  However, leading up to that day, the congregation has been stepping back in time. 

Beginning in January of 2010, the 2nd Sunday of each month was Reminscience Sunday Looking Back to the Future

Join us for our walks down memory lane - learn about the history of Montclare, Chicago, the Country, and the Lutheran Church over nine (9) decades.  Dress the part!  Automobile enthusiasts - bring your vintage autos to show each month!

January - 1920 to 1929: The Mission Years

February - 1930 to 1939:  The Depression Years

March - 1940 to 1949:  The War Years

April - 1950 to 1959:  The Boomer Years

May - 1960 to1969:  The Psychedelic Years

June - 1970 to 1979:  The Rock & Roll Years

July - 1980 to 1989:  The Technology Years

August - 1990 to 1999:  The Milennial Years

September - 2000 to 2009: The Transition Years
